# DocGraph > DocGraph is a free, privacy-first, AI-native personal knowledge graph: a desktop notes app where your HTML and Markdown notes, the links between them and an AI that has read all of them live in one place. Notes stay plain files on your machine and the AI can run entirely on your computer. - Platform: macOS 13.3 or later on Apple Silicon (beta). Intel Macs, Windows and Linux are planned. - Price: free. No account, no subscription, no telemetry. - AI: a built-in local model by default; Ollama and Apple's on-device model also work. Cloud models (OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, OpenAI-compatible) only if the user adds a key. - Opens an existing Obsidian vault in place (wikilinks, callouts, front matter). - Built-in MCP server so Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other agents can use the vault (off by default; writes need approval). ## Pages - [Home](https://docgraph.app/): what DocGraph is and does - [Download](https://docgraph.app/download): the Mac download and system requirements - [FAQ](https://docgraph.app/faq): price, platforms, offline use, AI models, Obsidian vaults, encryption, sync - [Privacy](https://docgraph.app/privacy): how privacy is enforced by the architecture - [DocGraph vs Obsidian](https://docgraph.app/vs/obsidian) - [DocGraph vs Notion](https://docgraph.app/vs/notion) - [DocGraph vs Logseq](https://docgraph.app/vs/logseq) ## Documentation - [Docs for LLMs](https://docs.docgraph.app/llms.txt): the full documentation index for AI agents - [Documentation](https://docs.docgraph.app/): every feature, step by step
